I will always remember his opening of meetings. He always started with a joke from STANAG 4711 The NATO dirty joke database. I hope this STANAG number will always belong to him.

Although I did not know Wolfgang personally, I understand that the Naval Mine Warfare communitiy has lost one of its greatest advocates. On behalf of the NATO NMW COE I wish the family much strength with this loss.

Wolfgang was always a gentle person to meet.
I met him few times, but I will always remember his kindness.
