I think we all have encountered people in our lives who can only be defined as extraordinary, more for who they are and exude, than for what they do or have accomplished. And while Fonte was extraordinary on both fronts it is the former that most encompasses the essence of Fonte for me and allow me to say for many who have preceded him on this holy journey. I first met Siegfried as a young boy in Boston where he was in focolare and would come to my home to visit or for special occasions such as my birthday or first communion. During the years I would encounter him visiting the boston Focolar or in annual mariapolis retreats. Later on I would live together with him in Focolar in New York before his retuning to live in his native Germany. Fonte was a genuinely happy person who embodied intrinsic simplicity and goodness, characteristics we associate with children but when expressed in an older person take on another dimension, one that expresses a divine reality beyond their personalities. This was Fonte for me . A man who best expressed the charism of Chiara and its true source in God. Fonte Will be missed by so many live on in our hearts.
