A few days ago, Yaroslav was still a happy husband and father of three magical daughters. Until Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin (71) once again randomly rained rockets on the otherwise quiet west of Ukraine. Now Yaroslav is a widower and all alone. His wife Yevheniya (43) is dead. His daughters Yarina (21), Darina (18) and Emilia (7) are dead. His whole family is dead, wiped out by a Russian missile.

Hundreds mourned the dead
The fathers face is scarred by shrapnel, marked by loss. In memory of Darina, who had just started studying. In memory of little Emilia, the Girl Scout. When she was found, her blonde hair was sticking out of the rubble that had once been the familys apartment. "Today is a difficult day," said Mayor Andrij Sadowyj. "Eight people are currently being buried in Lviv. Russia killed them all."
They were a family that wanted to live in peace.

Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin (71) has long set his sights on western Ukraine. Last week he bombed the energy infrastructure of the city of Lviv, which was recently believed to be safe, near the Polish border. On Wednesday night, the Russian army again fired rockets and drones at the city. Schools, medical facilities and residential buildings were hit.

The bombs came while people were sleeping. Seven people aged between seven and 55 died in the attack at 5.40 a.m., and more than 60 others were injured.
