When someone reflects on life and remembers all those people who had a lasting impact on them during their lifetime, one certainly first tends to think about their family. If one holds that thought, they will realise that beyond family, they probably have only met very few, often just a handful of individuals who have had a remarkable influence on their personal growth and have contributed to their development.
Dear Heinz, you are without doubt one of those few people and I am deeply and eternally grateful for that. Your trust in me and your honest and sincere approach had a strongly positive impact on my very own world view. They have changed my attitudes and have opened up perspectives, many of which I was previously unaware of. I am endlessly grateful to have met you and saddened by the fact that I was not able to express the full depth of those thoughts to you in person.
It is a very difficult and tragic time and I will surely miss you. In many ways, you were a role model for all of us. You have touched many people’s lives and were able to leave a lasting impact on them. Your strong personality, determination, charisma, your humour, sincerity and your positive attitude towards life will live with us forever. All of your best character traits will be always remembered and carried on by us.
